Daniele Nicoletti is a PhD student in Computer Science at the University of Verona and a member of IoT4Care. His research focuses on semi-formal verification and specification mining: techniques that learn temporal properties from execution traces so that the expected behaviour of a system can be expressed, checked and compared against observed executions.

His work includes mining Signal Temporal Logic specifications for hybrid systems, evaluating and qualifying LTL specification miners, and model-driven environments for the simulation and assertion-based verification of hybrid automata. These methods address systems in which software and physical dynamics interact, where useful specifications are often incomplete or unavailable and must be reconstructed from data before verification can be applied.
