Stefano Aldegheri is a Laboratory Technician at the Department of Engineering for Innovation Medicine of the University of Verona and a member of PARCO. He received his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Verona in 2020. His research focuses on making computer-vision applications practical on low-power and heterogeneous systems, with particular attention to automatic code synthesis, system-level optimisation and acceleration on multi-core and many-core architectures.

His work spans embedded and edge video analytics, task mapping and scheduling, and human-pose estimation for movement analysis. Recent research includes real-time intelligent video analytics on edge devices and camera-based assessment of postural and gait abnormalities, connecting PARCO’s expertise in heterogeneous computing with healthcare and cyber-physical applications where latency, energy use and deployment constraints matter alongside accuracy.
